This is a casual event where we get to eat, drink, and be merry. If you want to bring something to the potluck, please click the action below and let us know what you are bringing. If you're not sure what to bring, we have listed some suggestions. There's a volleyball court next to the shelter (#9 btw), so if you feel inclined, bring that volleyball. Wanna bring a bike? Hi Everyone! Save the date! On November 4th, from 6-10 PM, we will be meeting at the Pier 6 Rooftop Hilton. Those of you that went to our Logo Reveal Party last year remember the cozy venue with a spectacular view. We’ve been told that there is better lighting this time. Lol. We'll see. Also, our member spotlight for November, Rene Toledo Jr. will be there.
We do not have exclusive use of the venue, but we do have a couple of firepits reserved for us. We can, however, spill over into other areas. There is also a tiki bar on the rooftop for individual food and drink orders. We’re looking forward to seeing you there.

Parking in the garage is convenient and very reasonable. Please be sure to use the North entrance as indicated in the map. The other one is for employees of the hotel.

This award is dedicated to Rose Warner, a woman who had tremendous passion for promoting film in Florida. She had high standards for every project she produced. And so, two years ago, we decided to create an award for excellence in her name. The first award was given posthumously to her and presented to her daughter, Diana.
This is the 3rd year we present the award and the category this year was filmmakers. There was one stipulation. We are the Florida Arts Network, so our focus is on Florida artists. Therefore, the filmmaker needed to actually film in Florida and use Florida cast and/or crew. The nominees for this year's award were Agatino Zurria, Alejo Vega, Jonathan Vargas, Juan Alonso, and Lizandra Parra. To learn more about these talented filmmakers, head on over to our Feb. 2022 edition of Member Spotlight.
Congratulations go to Juan Alonso as winner of the Rose Warner Award for Excellence for 2022!
First, we want to say a big THANK YOU to all those that took part in the award show this year. (If you would rather watch than read, go here.) Our host for the event this year was the lovely and talented Katana Malone. The event was held at the iconic Savor Cinema in Fort Lauderdale with performances from some great musical artists. Clementine, a startup band, performed for the first time in front of a live audience at our event. We believe in providing opportunities for people in the industry wherever we can. They were followed by the smooth vocals and dynamic harmonies of Kahra, and Bryant August. Wrapping up the musical numbers was the dynamic and heart-moving strings of Steven Avi, violinist extraordinaire. Florida Arts Network also wants to thank Jayson Casta and his crew for all the pictures and videos they took, as well as the interviews they conducted at the event. And of course, Rachel Galvin was busy with her camera, recording the night's activities. As soon as we have all the pictures and videos, we will provide the links right here.
Award-winning filmmaker, William Grefé, will showcase his film, Stanley, at Savor Cinema in Fort Lauderdale on February 22. There will be a meet and greet starting at 6:00 PM. The film will plat at 7:00 PM with a short Q&A will Bill afterwards. For pictures from the event, go to: Grefé pics.

After the name change, a new logo was created and we held a logo reveal party at the beautiful Pier 6 Rooftop located at the top of the Hilton in Pompano Beach. Due to the size of the venue, we had to limit the number of free tickets which “sold out” almost immediately. We had a great turnout, and it was great to see a lot of new faces along with the familiar ones. Thank you to Alexandra Bello for doing the unveiling, and to Rachel Galvin for all the great pictures. To see them all, click on the group picture.
For a couple of years, people had been asking me if I was going to restart the Florida Table. Between the passing of Rose Warner and the pandemic, the group had gone dormant. But with Florida opening up more, I felt it was time to get the ball rolling again. With help from Frank and Christine Ruffolo, and Chelsea Rivero-Alvarez, we set in motion our first event. We celebrated the Florida Table reboot with a potluck at CB Smith Park in Pembroke Pines. The reboot brought with it a name change to Florida Arts Network, and we couldn't be more excited about our vision and the support we are getting. Click on the food pic to see more.
